    Camden High Street runs north from Mornington Crescent to Camden Town and on towards Camden Lock on the Regent's Canal. The markets around the lock grew from a handful of craft stalls in the 1970s into one of London's busiest weekend attractions. The area is woven into the city's music history: KOKO began life in 1900 as the Camden Theatre, the Electric Ballroom has hosted punk and indie bands for decades, and a bronze statue of Amy Winehouse stands in the Stables Market.
