    Reefs, wrecks and the silence of the deep inspire this scuba diving street sign, a perfect gift for divers, instructors and lovers of the ocean.

    Scuba stands for self-contained underwater breathing apparatus. The Aqua-Lung, developed in 1943 by Jacques Cousteau and the engineer Émile Gagnan, made recreational diving possible, and Cousteau's films introduced millions to the underwater world. Divers talk to each other with hand signals, and the circle made by thumb and finger means all is well. Australia's Great Barrier Reef is one of the most famous dive destinations, while Scapa Flow in Orkney, where the German fleet was scuttled in 1919, draws wreck divers from around the world. Beginner courses usually teach diving to a depth of around 18 metres.

    Match team or room colours with black, blue, brown, green, orange, pink, purple, red, yellow, grey, light green or light blue. It is made in 20 × 10cm, 28.3 × 10cm, 40.5 × 14.1cm and 45.7 × 15.2cm.
