    Lagos is the largest city in Nigeria and one of the largest in Africa. It was the country's capital until 1991, when the government moved to Abuja. The city spreads across islands and the mainland around the Lagos Lagoon, linked by the Third Mainland Bridge, one of the longest bridges in Africa. Lagos Island, Victoria Island and Ikoyi hold the business districts. Fela Kuti, pioneer of Afrobeat, performed at his Afrika Shrine, and the city is a powerhouse of Afrobeats music and film.
