    A Yorkshire city of Victorian arcades, markets and sport is the subject of this Leeds map art print. Its streets are drawn as clean graphic art, a fine gift for Loiners, Leeds United fans and university graduates.

    Leeds grew rich on wool in the 18th and 19th centuries, and its Victorian buildings, such as the Town Hall and the oval Corn Exchange, recall that wealth. Kirkgate Market is one of the largest covered markets in Europe, and in 1884 Michael Marks opened a penny bazaar there that grew into Marks and Spencer. The Victoria Quarter is famous for its ornate arcades. The Royal Armouries museum holds the national collection of arms and armour. Headingley hosts Test cricket and rugby, and Louis Le Prince filmed the world's earliest surviving motion picture here in 1888.
