    ABOUT THIS GIFT.

The city of dreaming spires and the oldest university in the English-speaking world is the subject of this Oxford map art print. Drawn as fine graphic art, it is a classic gift for Oxford graduates and book lovers.

Teaching in Oxford dates back to at least 1096, making its university the oldest in the English-speaking world. The poet Matthew Arnold called it the city of dreaming spires. The domed Radcliffe Camera is part of the Bodleian Libraries, and the Bridge of Sighs links two parts of Hertford College. Lewis Carroll taught at Christ Church, where the story of Alice in Wonderland took shape. The Ashmolean is Britain's oldest public museum, and punts drift along the Cherwell. The Sheldonian Theatre was designed by Christopher Wren.

Size options are A5, A4, A3, A2 and A1; colour comes in 18 variations including Blueprint, Heatwave and Ruby. Please note it is intended as art and not for navigation.

You might also like the Cambridge map print, Bath map print and Stratford map print, all part of our UK map prints.
