    Auckland, known in Māori as Tāmaki Makaurau, is New Zealand's largest city and sits on a volcanic field with around 50 volcanoes, including Mount Eden and Rangitoto Island. Its harbours are so full of yachts that it is nicknamed the City of Sails. The Sky Tower rises 328 metres above the centre and is the tallest freestanding structure in the Southern Hemisphere.
