    A LITTLE PIECE OF
    SOMEWHERE SPECIAL.

Show the way to your Portland with this Portland distance sign, a fun gift for anyone who calls the City of Roses or Maine's harbour city home.

There are two famous American Portlands, and they are linked by a coin toss. Portland, Maine came first, and in 1845 two settlers in Oregon flipped a coin to name their new town; Francis Pettygrove, from Maine, won, beating Asa Lovejoy's choice of Boston. Portland, Oregon became known as the City of Roses and has an International Rose Test Garden. Powell's City of Books there is one of the largest independent bookstores in the world, while the Maine city is famous for lobster, lighthouses and its historic Old Port.

The metal sign can look fresh in Clean or vintage in Rusted. The listing offers A6 (10.5 × 14.8cm) and A5 (21 × 14.8cm) for shelves and desks, plus A4 (28.3 × 19.7cm) and A3 (42 × 30.5cm) for walls. Add the distance on the product page, or give an address so it can be calculated, and say whether it should read in miles or km.

For a themed set, look at the Seattle, Boston or San Francisco sign, or head to the US distance signs collection.
