    The world's most famous prehistoric stone circle, on Salisbury Plain, is the subject of this Stonehenge map art print. Drawn as clean graphic art, it is a fitting gift for history lovers and solstice-goers.

    Stonehenge was built in stages, starting around 3000 BC. Its giant sarsen stones came from about 15 miles away, near Marlborough, while the smaller bluestones were brought from the Preseli Hills in Wales, around 150 miles away. The stones line up with the sunrise at the summer solstice and the sunset at the winter solstice, and crowds gather to watch. Together with Avebury, Stonehenge became a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1986. The landscape around it is dotted with burial mounds, and the Avenue leads towards the River Avon. A visitor centre about a mile and a half away displays objects found at the site and reconstructed Neolithic houses.

    For size, there's A5, A4, A3, A2 or A1; for colour, 18 schemes, Emerald, Ocean and Contrast included. As decorative art it isn't suitable for navigation.
