    ABOUT THIS GIFT.

On this design "The Empire State" is printed nearly as large as the state name, so the nickname gets real billing. This Welcome to New York sign sets white lettering on a green, road-sign-style metal panel, and the wording is fixed as shown, with no custom text.

New York is far more than one city. Albany, not Manhattan, is the state capital, and the state stretches from Long Island to Niagara Falls, through the Hudson Valley and the Adirondacks. That makes the sign a good fit for upstaters and city people alike, for anyone who has lived or studied there, and for visitors whose trip went beyond a long weekend in Midtown.

It suits a home office, a hallway gallery wall or the space above a home bar, and the A3 is big enough to anchor a room. It is waterproof metal construction. Choose Clean for a crisp finish or Rusted for a printed, time-worn effect. Like every sign in the range, it is a decorative reproduction rather than an official or reclaimed one.

    • Sizes: A6 - 10.5 x 14.8 cm, A5 - 21 x 14.8 cm, A4 - 28.3 x 19.7 cm or A3 - 42 x 30.5 cm, each in a Clean or Rusted style

Neighbours worth pairing: New Jersey across the Hudson, Vermont beyond Lake Champlain and Pennsylvania to the south. More in our US state welcome signs.
