    ABOUT THIS GIFT.

The smallest state gets a full-width welcome: on this Welcome to Rhode Island sign, the name stretches almost edge to edge, with "The Ocean State" beneath it in white on a green panel. The wording is fixed as shown, and this listing does not include custom text.

Rhode Island may be the smallest US state by area, but with Narragansett Bay cutting deep inland it has a remarkable amount of shoreline for its size, hence the nickname. It is a lovely reminder for anyone who studied or worked in Providence, the state capital, sailed out of Newport, or spent New England summers on its beaches.

The coastal theme sits well in a seaside-style living room, a hallway of sailing photos or a study. Its metal construction is waterproof. Clean keeps the white lettering sharp, while Rusted prints a salt-weathered, rust-effect look. You are buying a decorative reproduction, not an official or reclaimed sign from a Rhode Island roadside.

    • Sizes: A6 - 10.5 x 14.8 cm, A5 - 21 x 14.8 cm, A4 - 28.3 x 19.7 cm or A3 - 42 x 30.5 cm, each in a Clean or Rusted style

Rhode Island shares borders with just two states, so the Welcome to Connecticut sign and Welcome to Massachusetts sign complete the set. Browse more US state welcome signs.
