    ABOUT THIS GIFT.

Almost heaven, if the song is to be believed. This Welcome to West Virginia sign shows "Welcome to West Virginia" above "The Mountain State" in white capitals on a green panel with a fine white border, a fixed design supplied as shown without custom wording.

West Virginia is the only state lying entirely within the Appalachian region, and its nickname is well earned: ridges, hollows and winding country roads in every direction. The state broke away from Virginia during the Civil War, becoming a state in 1863. It suits people from Charleston, the capital, or Morgantown, anyone who has hiked or rafted the New River Gorge, and fans of that John Denver chorus.

Hang it in a cabin, a garage workshop, a home office or among travel photos. The metal construction is waterproof. Pick Clean for a crisp, newly installed look, or Rusted for a printed weathered effect. This is a decorative reproduction; it is not an official highway sign and has not been reclaimed.

    • Sizes: A6 - 10.5 x 14.8 cm, A5 - 21 x 14.8 cm, A4 - 28.3 x 19.7 cm or A3 - 42 x 30.5 cm, each in a Clean or Rusted style

Pair it with its parent state, Virginia, or with neighbouring Kentucky and Pennsylvania. See every design in our US state welcome signs.
