    Moorish arches, courtyards and fountains: the Alhambra map art print celebrates one of Europe's great palaces. It sets out the hilltop complex and the streets of Granada below as a graphic map, ideal for anyone who has wandered its gardens or dreams of Andalusia.

    The Alhambra sits on the Sabika hill above Granada, with the Sierra Nevada rising behind it. Most of what visitors see today was built by the Nasrid dynasty in the 13th and 14th centuries, including the Court of the Lions with its ring of marble lions supporting a fountain. The Generalife, the summer palace and gardens, lies just beyond the walls. Granada was the last Muslim kingdom in Spain until it surrendered to Ferdinand and Isabella in 1492. Today the Alhambra and Generalife form a UNESCO World Heritage site, first listed in 1984, and the Albaicín quarter opposite gives the classic view at sunset.
