    The Pearl of the Danube, with thermal baths and a parliament on the riverbank, is captured in this Budapest map art print. Its streets on both banks are drawn as elegant graphic art, a lovely reminder of a Hungarian city break.

    Budapest was formed in 1873 when the towns of Buda and Óbuda on the west bank of the Danube were united with Pest on the east bank. The huge Hungarian Parliament Building faces the river, while Buda Castle and the Fisherman's Bastion look down from the opposite hill. The Széchenyi Chain Bridge was the first permanent bridge across the Danube in the city. Budapest sits on a large number of thermal springs, and the Széchenyi and Gellért baths are famous. The banks of the Danube are a UNESCO World Heritage site.
