    Poland's royal city, with one of Europe's grandest market squares, is the subject of this Krakow map art print. Its old town is drawn as elegant graphic art, a lovely reminder of a Polish city break.

    Krakow was the royal capital of Poland for centuries, and its historic centre was among the first sites placed on the UNESCO World Heritage list in 1978. The Main Market Square, one of the largest medieval squares in Europe, is dominated by the Cloth Hall and St Mary's Basilica, from whose tower a trumpet call is played every hour. Wawel Castle and Cathedral stand on a hill above the Vistula River. Kazimierz, the old Jewish quarter, is full of synagogues and cafés, and the Jagiellonian University was founded in 1364.
