    One of Edward I's great Welsh fortresses, with a walled town at its feet, is the subject of this Conwy Castle map art print. Drawn as clean graphic art, it is a fine gift for lovers of North Wales and medieval history.

    Conwy Castle was built for Edward I between 1283 and 1289, and its eight great towers still stand above the estuary. Together with the castles at Caernarfon, Harlech and Beaumaris, it became a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1986. The town walls are among the most complete in Europe, with 21 towers and three gateways, and visitors can walk along long stretches of them. Thomas Telford's suspension bridge of 1826 crosses the river beside the castle. On the quay stands the Smallest House in Great Britain, painted bright red.

    For size, there's A5, A4, A3, A2 or A1; for colour, 18 schemes, Midnight Blue, Sage and Emerald included. As decorative art it isn't suitable for navigation.
