    ABOUT THIS GIFT.

Celebrate the oval-ball game with this rugby street sign, a great gift for players, coaches and the supporters who never miss a home match.

Rugby takes its name from Rugby School in Warwickshire, where, according to legend, a pupil called William Webb Ellis picked up the ball and ran with it in 1823. The Rugby World Cup trophy is named the Webb Ellis Cup in his honour. In 1895 a split over payments to players led to the creation of rugby league, so the sport now has two codes, union and league. The Six Nations Championship brings England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, France and Italy together every spring, and New Zealand's All Blacks perform the haka before their matches.

There are twelve colours: black, blue, brown, green, orange, pink, purple, red, yellow, grey, light green and light blue. It is made in 20 × 10cm, 28.3 × 10cm, 40.5 × 14.1cm and 45.7 × 15.2cm. The product page asks for the wording to print, such as a club, a player or a catchphrase.

You might also like the Football, Cricket and Basketball signs, all among our sports street signs.

Need a road that does not exist? Our custom street sign lets you invent one.
