    Volleyball was created in 1895 by William G. Morgan, a physical education director in Holyoke, Massachusetts, who first called it mintonette. He wanted a gentler indoor game than basketball for older members of his gym. Indoor volleyball joined the Olympic Games at Tokyo in 1964, and beach volleyball followed at Atlanta in 1996. Teams field six players indoors and two on the sand, and the net stands 2.43 metres high for men and 2.24 metres for women. Under rally scoring, a point is won on every rally, whichever side served.

    Four sizes are listed: small 20 × 10cm, medium 28.3 × 10cm, large 40.5 × 14.1cm and XL 45.7 × 15.2cm. Twelve colour options are listed, among them light blue, light green, grey, purple and pink, as well as black, blue, brown, green, orange, red and yellow.
