    Smashes and drop shots inspire this badminton street sign, a great gift for club players, coaches and anyone who loves a fast rally.

    Badminton takes its name from Badminton House in Gloucestershire, the estate of the Dukes of Beaufort, where the game was played in the 1870s. It grew from the much older pastime of battledore and shuttlecock. The All England Championships have been held since 1899, and badminton became a full Olympic sport at Barcelona in 1992. A shuttlecock has 16 overlapping feathers, and smashes by top players have been measured at well over 400 kilometres per hour, making it the fastest projectile in racket sports.

    Size options run from 20 × 10cm (small) to 45.7 × 15.2cm (XL), with 28.3 × 10cm and 40.5 × 14.1cm in the middle. It is available in twelve colours, including light blue, light green and grey alongside the classic red, blue, green, yellow, black, brown, orange, pink and purple.
