    ABOUT THIS GIFT.

One of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world is captured in this Damascus map art print, its old city and souks drawn as elegant graphic art. A heartfelt gift for anyone with Syrian roots.

Damascus has been lived in for thousands of years, and the Ancient City of Damascus became a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1979. At its heart is the Umayyad Mosque, built in the early 8th century and one of the oldest and largest mosques in the world. The covered Al-Hamidiyah Souq leads up to its doors. Straight Street, which crosses the old city from east to west, is mentioned in the Bible, and damask fabric takes its name from the city. Its old houses hide shady courtyards with fountains and citrus trees behind plain outer walls.

Sizes run A5, A4, A3, A2 and A1, and the palette menu holds 18 colour schemes, Patina, Neon and Terracotta among them. Treat it as decorative map art rather than a guide for getting around.

Building a travel wall? Add the Beirut map print, Amman map print and Baghdad map print, then explore the other Asia map prints.
