    The seat of British democracy inspires this Houses of Parliament sign. It makes a striking gift for politics students, history lovers and anyone who has heard Big Ben chime.

    The Houses of Parliament, properly called the Palace of Westminster, stand on the north bank of the Thames. Most of the medieval palace was destroyed by fire in 1834, and the building we see today was designed by Charles Barry, with Gothic Revival interiors by Augustus Pugin. The clock tower, renamed the Elizabeth Tower in 2012, houses the great bell known as Big Ben. Inside are the House of Commons and the House of Lords, and the palace and neighbouring Westminster Abbey together form a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

    Go small with A6 (10.5 × 14.8cm), medium with A5 (21 × 14.8cm) or A4 (28.3 × 19.7cm), or large with A3 (42 × 30.5cm). Both a Clean and a Rusted version are listed. Put it where guests will spot it, such as a hallway or a home bar.
