    Spooky history and New England charm inspire this Salem distance street sign. It suits Halloween lovers, history buffs and anyone with ties to either of America's best-known Salems.

    Salem, Massachusetts, is famous for the witch trials of 1692, when more than two hundred people were accused of witchcraft. Today the city embraces its past with the Salem Witch Museum and a month of Haunted Happenings every October. Novelist Nathaniel Hawthorne was born there, and his House of the Seven Gables still stands by the harbour. On the other side of the country, Salem is also the capital of Oregon, set on the Willamette River, where the State Capitol is topped by the golden Oregon Pioneer statue.

    Measurements run from 20 × 10cm up to 45.7 × 15.2cm, with 28.3 × 10cm and 40.5 × 14.1cm in between. The metal plate comes either Clean or Rusted. A box on the product page takes either the distance itself or an address to calculate it from; add miles or km.
