    Porto rises in steep terraces above the Douro River, and its riverside Ribeira district is part of a UNESCO World Heritage site listed in 1996. Across the water in Vila Nova de Gaia, the famous port wine lodges age their wines in cool cellars. The double-deck Dom Luís I Bridge, opened in 1886, links the two banks. São Bento station is decorated with thousands of blue and white azulejo tiles, and the Livraria Lello bookshop draws queues every day. The local speciality is the francesinha sandwich. Each June the city celebrates its patron saint at the lively Festa de São João.

    For size, there's A5, A4, A3, A2 or A1; for colour, 18 schemes, Terracotta, Forest and Pastel included. As decorative art it isn't suitable for navigation.
