    Comedian Ken Dodd, from Knotty Ash in Liverpool, closed his famous marathon shows with a cheery tatty-bye everybody. The phrase has become a fond goodbye across the North West and beyond. Above a front door or hallway, it gives friends and family a smile on the way out, and it will bring back memories for anyone who saw Doddy live or on television. It is a lovely gift for a Scouser, a fan of classic British comedy or a grandparent who still says it to the grandchildren at the end of every visit.
