    Toodle pip dates back to the early twentieth century and has a cheerfully posh ring, the kind of thing a character in a P.G. Wodehouse novel might say as he heads off for lunch at his club. It makes a jolly exit message above a front door, a study or a vintage-styled hallway. Give it to anyone who loves period dramas, tweed and a pot of tea, or to a friend who still signs off with a breezy cheerio. It adds a playful nod to an older Britain to an otherwise modern house, and it pairs nicely with a vintage hat stand or umbrella rack.
