Old gold and black pride runs through this Wolverhampton Waterloo Road street sign, a fine gift for Wolves supporters and anyone from the Black Country.
Waterloo Road runs beside Molineux, home of Wolverhampton Wanderers since 1889. The ground takes its name from Benjamin Molineux, a local merchant whose house and gardens once stood on the site. In the 1950s, under manager Stan Cullis, Wolves won three league titles and staged famous floodlit friendlies against top foreign clubs, including Honvéd of Hungary in 1954, games that helped inspire the creation of the European Cup. The club's old gold shirts are among the most distinctive in English football, and one stand is named after Steve Bull, the striker who scored a club record 306 goals.
